Detailed Safari Itinerary

DAY 1: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK VIA ZIWA RHINO SANCTUARY

Arrival & Welcome: Meet your professional tour guide who will brief you about the 8-day luxury Uganda wildlife and primate safari.

Rhino Tracking: Start your safari to Murchison Falls National Park through Gulu Highway with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an unforgettable rhino trekking experience.

Journey to Murchison: After rhino tracking, drive to Masindi town for lunch, then proceed to Murchison Falls National Park.

Accommodation: Check in at your lodge for overnight stay.

DAY 2: MORNING GAME DRIVE AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE ON THE NILE RIVER

Early Morning Game Drive: After breakfast (or packed breakfast), set off at 6:30 AM for a game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. The park is home to Africa's Big 4 animals (lions, leopards, elephants, and buffalos), various antelopes, birds, and beautiful savannah vegetation.

Afternoon Boat Cruise: Return to the lodge for lunch, then set off for an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile River (the world's longest river). Enjoy the serene beauty, spot hippopotamus, Nile crocodiles, and numerous water birds.

Hike to Top of Falls: Hike to the top of Murchison Falls for a thrilling adventure and breathtaking views.

Lunch Stop: Stop in Fort Portal city for lunch.

Equator Experience: Continue your safari with a stopover at the new Equator monument to create memorable photos.

DAY 4: CHIMPANZEE TRACKING AND AFTERNOON BOAT CRUISE

Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise: In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward to Lake George. Spot schools of hippos, birds, crocodiles, and other wildlife.

Sunset Views: In the evening, enjoy beautiful sunset views of the Rwenzori Mountains.

Transfer to Bwindi: Have lunch along the way as you drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Accommodation: Upon arrival, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 6: MOUNTAIN GORILLA TREKKING AND BATWA COMMUNITY TOUR

Gorilla Trekking Briefing: After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about gorilla trekking etiquette and safety.

Gorilla Trekking: Led by an experienced ranger, search for the mountain gorillas. Once you find a gorilla family, you'll spend one hour observing them. Take photos while following all rules and regulations.

Batwa Cultural Experience: Return to the lodge for lunch, then prepare for an evening walk to a neighboring Batwa village for a social and cultural exchange. Share African traditional stories, enjoy local brew, and dances with the community people.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi: After the cultural experience, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
